I pressure washed them properly yesterday along with the inner fenders (lots of dirt from work). All the issues I had are kinda fixed. The brakes just bites good now. I'm actually surprised at how they don't wear as fast as all my other cars I had except for the Cressida. I usually change the pads each year, but this time I feel I can extend the maintenance with no issues. The joy of lightweightness!

I also managed to fix my issues with my broken headunit and a FM transmiter. The sound was not loud enough and it made everything bad. Since I have an Android phone, I played with a app called Viper4Android (It's a must get mod if you're a audiophile, even if you have an HTC phone!). Cranked up the volume output to the max and changed a few things to make the sound crisp. Now I fully enjoy my system! I don't even hear the radio white noise anymore.

So now with the 2 things I've saved for next summer, I can concentrate on the RX8 sway bars I need, the rear tires for winter and painting my RX8 rims! Also, since I'm going to Mazda's test drive event at an race track next week, I'll be able to know exactly how a brand new MX-5 feels. Which means a proper Oppo review of mine soon.

When you do RX-8 sway bars, get some proper end links to go with. The factory ones are meh. They'll make a big difference in properly engaging the sway bars, and most aftermarket ones are adjustable. For example: http://flyinmiata.com/index.php?dept…

Also for brakes if/when you need them, the stock Miata setup is fine, but can be improved with slotted rotors, good pads, and stainless lines (these really help with pedal feel). I like EBC Redstuff pads—they give good bite and have the least dust & noise of any performance pads I've tried.

I actually have to change one of the end links. I don't know how to adjust them though. Do you have a little more insight on this?

I was looking at the stock rotors but wanted better pads. I'll be looking at EBC, thanks! I was looking at Akebono pads since I wanted ceramic ones. People told me to get Hawks...but I feel that they don't bite at all on my NA. For the SS lines I'll wait. It's too expensive for me now. Probably next summer.

I have a new idea for what your name should be: RotaryLover loved a Solara before NPN ruined it...

SolaraLover doesn't want a Solara because NPN?

I had Hawk HP+ before EBC Redstuff. Performance was about equal, the Hawks made more noise and dust. Did you maybe have Hawk HPS? Those aren't as aggressive as the HP+.

As for the endlinks, see the screw threads? You just turn those. Longer end links put more preload on the swaybars, which makes them stiffer.

Actually, I'm gonna go with PBRs. I had them on my Mazda 3 and loved them! I just didn't know they made some for MX-5s. I had trouble to find some for my NA.

Hum...so about 200+ for the end links...why do I live in Canada???

PBRs? Are you talking about Axxis Ultimates (a.k.a. PBR ULT)? I had those too. The EBCs are better.

Why? They last longer?

Better bite, less noise, less dust.
